Be Prepared for Cold Temperatures and Cold Wind this Winter! (Check your water line to avoid frozen water lines.) Please make sure your pipes are properly prepared for winter weather: 1. Heat tape should be “on” and working. 2. It should extend from the outside water line down the line towards your home, into and under your home and up until it reaches the undercarriage of the home. 3. Foam insulation should then wrap the water lines from where the heat tape begins to the end and stop at the undercarriage. 4. Tape the foam insulation so it’s nice and secure. 5. Cold air is the enemy when it comes to water lines, so please protect them!
